Paddlers on the Elbe river like to spend the night at VKD Canoe Station

Traditionally and historically grown, almost every paddler on the upper Elbe river comes to camp at us. Already in the 1920’s the first campers (paddlers, bikers, hikers) enjoyed staying at our camping sites in Wehlen and Dresden.


Both canoe stations offer the comfort of the DKV (German Canoe Association) – canoe station. Most of our guests are single paddlers, small groups or families. But our places are also suitable for larger groups. Se we do accommodate every summer the participants of the “ICF-Elbe trip: Schmilka – Hamburg” and organize a program for them. For example a hiking tour in the Saxon Switzerland, or a visit to the Church of our Lady.
